1. Keep your lips together while you chew. * No smacking. * No talking with food in your mouth.
2. Avoid "gross" topics while eating. *Bodily functions. * Medical stuff.
3. Avoid "gross" behavior while eating. *Picking your nose. *Passing gas. *Blowing your Nose. * Burping * Scratching armpits and other body parts.
4. Elbows off the table.
5. Do not shovel food in your mouth. "Stuff your face".
6. Talk positively about the food people make for you.
7. Try new foods.
8. Make sure everyone gets some of each item.
9. Avoid mounding food on your plate.
10. When going out to eat be aware of your budget.
11. Compromise where to eat for everyone's budget.
12. Don't forget about tax and tip.
13. Be flexible when eating in a group. *Nothing on the menu you like, just get a drink or desert.
14. Keep your volume so that only the people in your group / at your table can hear you.
15. No electronics while eating with other people. They want to talk to you.
16. Clean up after yourself. *Don't leave food on the table. * Throw things out if there's a trash can. * Wipe up any spills.
